Upcycled Silk Yarn

Recycled silk yarn is a lovely fiber that also happens to help people and the planet. As the name implies, recycled silk yarn is made from recycled silk, more specifically the waste silk from industrial weaving mills (the silk is mostly used to make saris). The yarn is hand-spun in Nepal, giving women a way to work and earn money. It's beautiful all around. 
Each piece has its individuality, and everything you make from the yarn is its work of art, completely unique. It can be a lot of fun to see how the different colors play together and look harmonious even though the colors are often wild. 

Each piece is unique, handmade by our women using recycled fabrics. Therefore you will receive a selection of random colors and patterns. All our products are crafted with a love for craft and tradition, which makes each thread truly unique.
